Second Look: Provape’s Provari Mini

So… if you’ve been following along on the juice reviews and all, you have probably got an idea as to where this one is going.

I’ll openly admit… the forum vapers were right. My Provari Mini is about a year and two months old now. Man, time flies.

The above photo was taken just minutes ago… it doesn’t look any different than the day I pulled it out of the box. And let me tell you, this poor thing has seen some things. It is my main device, so it goes back and forth every day to work. It also …

Ploomz

I don’t know much about Ploomz right now, so whether or not you can order from them… I couldn’t tell you. The only online page I find for them is via FaceBook.

Ploomz is actually a mall kiosk. Don’t roll your eyes and move on yet, stick with me. It isn’t the mall kiosk you are thinking of. No one jumps out and attacks you trying to sell you whatever over priced junk PV they happen to be carrying, there are no giant fog machine e-cigarettes blowing a haze over half the mall, there is no loud TV posted up …

Heather’s Heavenly Vapes

Received my first ever order from Heather’s Heavenly Vapes today. The order contained the following juices:

Gandalf
Angel’s Kiss
Shadowfax
Smurfette
Clockwork Orange
Powder Keg
It also included a red eGo Mop Head clearomizer and several replacement mop heads. Please stand by for reviews of all products, coming soon.

The website was easy to navigate and the descriptions were great. One of the things I really hate is when a vendor gives a juice a name that doesn’t tell you anything about the juice, and then the description is either empty or also tells you nothing about the flavor. I …

Misty Mountain Vapors

I am going to be straight forward with you. No matter what happens or where I go, Misty Mountain Vapors is always going to have a special place in my heart. This is the company that really started all of this for me.

MMV is my local brick and mortar shop. It was about a year ago when a good friend of mine came in to the place I worked with an eGo in his pocket. Knowing I smoked, he decided to tell me all about it. When he was done, he told me to visit Misty Mountain Vapors when …

R.I.P. ZMax

With a fairly heavy heart – and curse words that would make a sailor blush – I said my final goodbye to the Smoktech ZMax this week. It has been thrust into “the box” as a backup, should something catastrophic happen and I need something to hold me over until things straighten out. But it can no longer function as my first line device any longer.

Let me explain.

First off, here is what my ZMax now currently looks like, taking the above image into account (the above image was taken the day I bought it, and the finish is …

Official Review: Volcano LavaTube V2

I’m just going to go ahead and post the official vaping review to save some folks some heartache.

As you have seen, we’ve had some issues. Last week, I picked up a LavaTube V2. Within hours it began having issues contacting and getting a hit, then stopped working all together. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. There is always going to be a lemon in the group.

So yesterday I drove back out to the shop I got it from and swapped it out for a new one, the store owner telling me he’s never seen this before. …

EnergyShisha: Caffeine Vape Stix

Now, for something a little different!

This arrived in the mail for me about a week ago, and I’ll admit, I was both excited and scared about it. Testing it out, however, became a challenge. Let me explain.

The Caffeine Vape Stix are basically what the title says… it’s an energy vape. There is no nicotine in this device, and it acts just like a disposable e-cigarette… open the package, take off the plastic cap, no buttons needed just vape. Only this one gives you directions:

Warning: Do not take more than 20 inhalations in an hour.

Use: Taking …

Let’s Talk About Battery Chargers!

I know, such an exciting topic to discuss on a Saturday night! But let’s face it… since we’ve gone electronic, batteries have become a major part of our lives, and we’ve got to keep them charged if we want to keep on vaping.

Many folks have the starter kits they got from a local dealer or internet site, and they use the chargers that come along; screw them in, plug them into the wall, and be mindful not to overcharge. Some of them have a low whistle – I have one of those, and it is maddening! – and …

Maya iFill: Starter Pack

A few weeks back I was sent a little setup from the crew at Maya vaporizers to test out. I spent a good long time with the kit, putting it through the standard paces to get a good review of the item.

The equipment I received was a starter kit, the kit pictured above. It comes with one battery (colors vary, pictured is blue), a top coil clear colored, disposable clearomizer, and a USB charger (it does not contain a wall charging unit, but this does fit in to other wall charging units available, and does very well charging off …

Kanger eVod Clearomizer

So you may have noticed lately that some of the juice vaporizer reviews have included the use of EVOD clearomizer, and the photos of my Provari Mini include a photo of it as well. The EVOD seems to be the latest great thing, and I let a local dealer talk me into buying one, even with my relatively strong distlike for clearomizers.

So how is it? It’s a bottom coil clearomizer for vaporizers. Nothing else. It is, pretty much, just like every other clearomizer you’ve ever tried, just not as user friendly.

The color is a nice, creative touch, …

Provape: ProVari Mini

Well, if you read my last post about vaporizers, you were awaiting my thoughts on the ProVari. It has been about a month since I let the folks on ECF talk me into finally getting one, and I settled for the Mini, for two reasons. The first reason was that it could share the batteries I’d already invested in for the ZMax, and the second being that I wanted something smaller than I had. The smaller size now allows me to carry it in the hard case I’d bought so long ago for the eGo Twist batteries, which was …

Smoktech ZMax

I have had the ZMax now for just under a month, so I wanted to talk about it a little bit. Anyone who follows us on FaceBook and Twitter probably knows exactly when the issue started, but it has gotten worse.

For reference reasons, the tube is the “black” version, you can go to the below post to see how it should look. And to see how it looks now, just click the images above. Also… the cap on the bottom is stainless steel, so that isn’t part of the complaint.

To date, the ZMax is performing very well. Battery …

Volcano’s LavaTube V2

I won’t call this the main review, but I wanted to bring this particular issue out as it happened. Generally, for equipment, I won’t do a review until I’ve abused it a little. ūüôā

So about a week ago, I picked up a LavaTube as a celebratory gift (I got myself a job – and it was exactly what I was looking for – after having been out of work for a few months) and was tickled beyond words. I have been wanting something like this for a while now, but it has been out of the budget. I settled …

Second Look: Artemas Tube

OK, so from those pictures, you are probably going to assume this is going to be an ugly review, but what makes it interesting is that it is actually not going to be!

This happened sometime this afternoon. I have a basic idea of when – about the time it began burning when I was vaping, and I blamed bad batteries for it, and then blamed the cartomizers. I was on my way home from clothes shopping for a new job when the burning began. I didn’t notice anything at that time on the Artemas Tube.

Back up about …

Carolina E-Cigs

Dropped by the shop the other day on a road trip to the Charlotte, NC area. Carolina vaporizers was the first stop on my trip.

Just for information, Carolina vaporizers, right now, can be found here for those interested in his item menus. He’s got a lot of stuff in stock, both juice wise and equipment wise, and he’ll ship. You need to give him a call for now, but check back at the site, his website should be going live January, 2013, and then you can order to your heart’s content!

For anyone living in his area, or …

MadVapes

Please be advised: This review is based on an in person experience from a visit to their retail location in Charlotte, NC. I have not yet ordered from their website, but I have a feeling I will. If I do Рmeaning I have enjoyed at least most of the liquids I purchased from them РI will do a second review for their online shop.

So I made a little road trip yesterday to Charlotte, NC, the intent being to do some Christmas shopping. But why not hit some¬†vape¬†stops along the way? I mean really…¬†how¬†often …

Second Look: Juicy Vapor

I want to make sure I keep people updated about vendors, especially ones I place multiple orders with, and most definitely when something has changed.

Sadly, something has changed with Juicy Vaporizers, and I want to make sure to get the news out there. So we’re taking a second look.

As some of you can probably tell, I order a lot from Juicy Vapor. They’ve got a few of my favorite juices in their lineup. So in my last order from them, I got a few 30 ml bottles of my favorites, as well as some trial sizes for …
